Treatment of open bite with Invisalign
Dee-Anna had an open bite and a crossbite on the left hand side. After going to a number of orthodontists who recommended extractions or surgical correction of her open bite, she saw Dr. Virdee for consultation who recommended Invisalign! Invisalign is a great option for patients with open bites because it prevents the back molars from erupting like braces. As you can see, Dee-Anna had a stellar result!

Surgical treatment of recessive lower jaw
Paul had treatment to surgically move his jaw forward. Prior to surgery, he had a recessive lower jaw with excessive overjet (his upper front teeth jetted forward ahead of the lower front teeth). Following orthographic surgery, the lower front teeth were lightly touching the back of the upper front teeth as in a normal bite, which allowed for proper function and reduced the chances of excessive wear of teeth. Paul’s profile also improved dramatically. What a great result!

Surgical treatment of recessive upper and lower jaws
Hunter’s upper and lower jaws were both recessive creating a deep overbite and a bite that did not fit correctly. We aligned the upper and lower from teeth with braces and referred her for surgical correction of her profile. Both the upper and lower jaws were moved forward creating a lovely facial profile and an improved relationship of the upper and lower teeth.

Treatment of impacted canines using braces
Oliver had impacted upper and lower adult canine teeth. First braces were used to help create spaces for these teeth which was followed by referral to a surgeon to uncover or expose these teeth by creating a “window” through the gums. A gold chain was then bonded or glued to the teeth so that they could be brought into the jaws orthodontically. What a fabulous result for Oliver!
Total treatment time: 20 months
Treatment of crowded teeth with braces
Rose had crowded upper and lower teeth with a high upper right canine. Braces were used to align the teeth along with elastics to correct the bite. At the end of treatment, Rose had a fuller smile and a straight smile!
Total treatment time: 18 months
Treatment of spacing and crossbite with braces
Hailey’s didn’t like the spacing between her upper front teeth. There was also a crossbite of the back teeth as well as the upper right lateral incisor. Braces were used to align the teeth and close all spaces. Elastics were used to correct the bite in the back. A fabulous smile for our fabulous patient!

Charlotte had a deep overbite, crowded upper and lower teeth and midlines that were not matching. Braces were use din combination with elastics to help correct the overbite and bite in the back. Correction of high canines with Braces
Maya’s canines were too high resulting in a narrow smile. Her lips were also getting caught on her canines when she smiled. Braces were used in conjunction with elastics to help correct the alignment of the teeth as well as the bite in the back. The end result was a fuller smile where the lips were free to move to show Maya’s gorgeous smile!
Total treatment time: 18 months
Correction of underbite with braces
Cameron came to us because the upper front teeth were behind the lower front teeth, making it difficult for her to eat and speak. She also had difficulty showing all her teeth on smile. Braces were used in combination with elastics to bring the upper front teeth forward. This enhanced her smile and improved her speech and chewing function.

Correction of crossbite and midlines with Invisalign
Micheala was concerned about her smile but wanted an alternative to braces as she was approaching her high school graduation. Her upper jaw was narrow creating a crossbite on both side and the centre of her upper and lower from teeth did not align properly. Invisalign was used to widen her upper teeth to their natural width. Micheala wore her elastics very well to make sure the centre of her upper and lower front teeth lined up nicely. A great result for a very compliant patient – and just in time for grad!
